are there any limitations for tuneblade's free offering?
I purchased airfoil a while back, but the stream buffering options under tuneblade seems compelling.

Oh sorry for the misunderstanding @Grevans1978!

This should be easy to fix. Have you updated ROCKI to the latest firmware? To do so, check out this step by step guide: http://www.myrocki.com/fwupdate/

Keep me posted if it did help!

@cvandend: I would also advise you to update ROCKI's firmware to the latest version. TO do so, follow this guide: http://www.myrocki.com/fwupdate/

I have the exact same as Grevans1978. I only ever see one of the two ROCKIs available as AirPlay devices. This has nothing to do with trying to play to two at the same time. It's purely seeing them as available AirPlay destinations.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the reply. No I am not trying to stream simultaneously I know that that function is not released yet.
I have 2 Rocki play. If i switch each one on independently they each connect and are avilable for airplay. If however I try and switch them both on together only the first to connect is available for airplay. It does not matter which is switched on first only the first one can be seen over airplay.
I have tried everything, 2.4ghz only, non encypted network, IP reservation etc etc but nothing seems to work.

So I have 2 rocki but I can only use one at a time.

Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

If i am correct you are trying to stream your music to multiple ROCKIs simultaneously right?

For now, this feature is not implemented in the iOS or Android app but we will be releasing a statement about it soon to announce the successful Alpha testing of Multi-device sync.

Alright. I see. Well, the ROCKI doesn't support that for now but it's been brought to the attention. Who knows, it might make the cut to a next version of ROCKI. Thanks for bringing it up!

This is just conjecture on my part, but I think "State Eventing" is the ability for the DLNA device to send updates on it's current state back to the controller. In this case Kinsky probably uses the state feedback to determine the current playback position of the track (for display in the GUI) and also when then track has completed so Kinsky can send the next track in the playlist. Without knowledge of the playback progress, the Kinksy software cannot advance the playlist. From their description, "State Eventing" is a separate, optional part of the DLNA specification.

I've been using tuneblade multiple speaker sync and I have found it syncs better if I make sure tuneblade is open then open music player (wmp), if music player is open before tune blade is open it is out of sync.

I was trying Kinsky on my Linux machine. It works, usually, but is rather unstable. However, which it did work, it was excellent.

I just had a look at Kinsky. Installed it on my PC but couldn't really get it to work.

Could you elaborate about 'State eventing'? I saw the short line LinnOss wrote about it but I'm not fully getting it.

One feature of Kinksy is the ability to support separate playlists for different "rooms," but without the ability to change tracks, it is not really very useful..

Separate playlists for different rooms sounds cool but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to change tracks. ROCKI just plays back whatever is streamed to him. So if you change the track in the software, ROCKI will play the next track.

We will soon be releasing the ROCKI multi room feature so you'll then be able to use our apps to control your different ROCKIS throughout the rooms.
