As you maybe have read above, we are aware of this issue and are working on a fix. For now, there are a few ways you could resolve the problem.

The one i would recommend is letting ROCKI boot in hotspot mode. Your ROCKI should do this automatically if you are not within range of the router it is configured with. Once you're in hotspot mode, connect your phone or laptop to ROCKI through wifi. You'll see an SSID called ROCKI_XXXXXX and the password is 87654321.

Open your web browser and to access the config page of ROCKI, browse to http://192.168.0.1 (when in hotspot mode) There you will be able to manually fill in the SSID and Password of the wifi network you wish to connect to.

Another option would be to rename your current wifi network temporarily to the one you were using previously. This will allow ROCKI to connect automatically and from the configuration panel of ROCKI you will be able to manually change the SSID and password.

As soon as our new firmware version is released, this whole process will be made much easier. Please accept our appologies for the trouble now and thanks for your support!

The standard password for ROCKI in hotspot is 87654321. Just fill it in and you'll have full access to your ROCKI again!

After the rest, it could be that the voice feedback setting has been turned off. You can reactivate this in the ROCKI control panel by browsing to its IP address. (Usually http://192.168.0.104/)

With the next firmware update, the boot button will act as a hard reset button. This indeed has not been functioning properly till now.

This should do the trick for you! Let me know if you have more questions!

ROCKI ON!

I was testing out my Rocki again - and after resetting all the connection details to default, I was able to stream music to the Rocki in Hotspot mode.

Suddenly, the Rocki stops streaming mid-song and I lose connection.

I use a WiFi scanning tool on my phone and the Rocki signal still shows up, but now the Security settings show it as WEP protected. I reboot the Rocki and now it shows as WPA2 protected. I have tried power cycling the Rocki and still no luck - I have also noticed that there is no audio coming out from the Rocki after each reset. The only response I get is the LED flashing red Twice and then Solid Green.

I have not set any passwords on the Rocki at all. I have no idea how it became PW protected while in Hotspot mode.

What exactly does the boot button do if it doesn't hard reset the device? It boggles the mind that you did not anticipate the need for a hard reset of the settings.

There might be a way you can save your birthday party! Download the new ROCKI app for iOS! It works with iPad and iPhone and it should help you solve the problem! The app can be downloaded from this link (and is FREE!) https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rocki/id884100956?ls=1&mt=8

It will take you through a quick setup process and you'll then be using your Wi-Fi connection to stream the music instead of Airplay!

Fingers crossed!

Connect ROCKI to the same Wi-Fi network your PC in connected to and browse to the IP address of your ROCKI. The easiest way to find it is to check the File Explorer on a Windows PC for network devices it has found. You should see a ROCKI device there, right-click it and choose properties to see the IP it’s on. Note it down. (Generally the IP address will be 192.168.0.106)

Head over to the IP address you found, scroll down and click on Factory Reset. Once that is done, follow this guide to update your ROCKI to the latest firmware: http://www.myrocki.com/fwupdate/

Let me know how that went!

Could you elaborate a bit more about what you would like to see extra in the Soundcloud app or how you would like to see it changed?

The wifi connection is oke.

Local I didn't try yet. I don't have music on my iPad/iPhone. The voice of Rocki is not hesitating.

No, you're not doing anything wrong as far as i hear. Spotify through Airplay should play just fine. How far is ROCKI from your router?

Do you have a bad connection from both your iPad and iPhone? How about when you play local music files? Does that work better?
